Now in its seventh year, Torino Short Film Market changes its name to Talents and Short Film Market (TSFM).

TSFM was founded in 2016 as an international market dedicated primarily to the short film industry and all areas surrounding it. The goal of TSFM is to enhance the role of short film with attention to both the individual project and the industry as a whole, while also enabling the growth of new filmmakers and talent.

Since 2016, six on-site editions and one online edition have been organized. In 2021, TSFM was held in a hybrid form (online and in-person): 451 accredited (including 201 foreigners, 48 countries represented, 120 onsite appointments, and about 574 shorts in the Video Library from 75 countries including 179 first works.

TSFM vol.7 will take place in hybrid guise again this year: from Nov. 27-30 in person in Turin and from Dec. 1-4 online. It will be an edition full of events, pitch sessions, lectures, screenings, meetings and workshops about which TSFM will provide more details in the coming months.

A Long Way Home

An artistic residency dedicated to those who want to develop a short film already produced and released into a feature film. The online residency will close an in-person pre-development pitch session. A Long Way Home is divided into two sectors: A Long Way Home for Filmmakers, dedicated to filmmakers, and A Long Way Home for Creative Producers intended for producers.

The deadline for A Long Way Home is 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2022.

Any Short of Genre

An international co-production pitch for upcoming genre short film projects. It offers selected participants a 5-minute pitch of their project in front of an audience of industry professionals.

There are two deadlines for Any Short of Genre: the regular deadline is 11:59 p.m. July 31; the late deadline is 11:59 p.m. August 31, 2022.

Highway to End

An international co-production pitch for short films in process (work-in-progress). It offers selected participants a 10-minute pitch of their project in front of an audience of industry professionals.

The Highway to End deadline is 11:59 p.m. on August 31, 2022.

Pitch Your Fest!

The pitch session dedicated to representatives from festivals programming short films. It offers selected participants a 5-minute pitch of their event in front of an audience of industry professionals.

There are two deadlines for Pitch Your Fest!: the regular deadline is 11:59 p.m. July 31, 2022; the late deadline is August 31, 2022.

Short Film Content.

Projects selected from this call will be included in TSFM vo.7’s online Video-Library and at online and in-person screenings, Market Screenings. Completed or work-in-progress short films may participate in this call.

There are two Short Film Content deadlines: the regular deadline is August 31, 2022; the late deadline is 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2022.

XR Content

Projects selected from this call will be presented during onsite screenings at the TSFM XR Theatre. Extended Reality content in 3DoF with linear narrative (non-interactive) can participate in this call.
